Our Visitors

On Tuesday, we were very lucky to have two special visitors come to Room 5.

Sophie, her mum and her aunty all came into Room 5 to show us Sophie's Aunty Kate's guide dog.  We were amazed at how helpful and clever he is and loved patting him.

Izzy brought her blue tongue lizard, Indigo, in too.  He was awesome!  We all had a hold if we wanted to and patted him.  His skin felt like rock and he loved eating banana!

Well done Izzy and Sophie for showing us how to be so responsible with animals and for showing us how to care for them.

Wacky Hair Day Painting

On Friday, we practised making colours.  We were given only the primary colours, red, yellow and blue.

To make orange, we mixed red and yellow.  To make green, we mixed yellow and blue.  To make violet, we mixed blue and red.  Our flowers looked so colourful.

With our wacky hair and colour wheels, our classroom was very colourful!

Easter and Buddies

On the last day of Term 1, we had lots of fun doing some easter activities.

In the morning we went into Room 9 to work with our buddy class.  We made chocolate crackles with Mrs Algar and we made easter cards, wordfinds and lots of other Easter activities.

After morning tea we came back into Room 5 and made our Easter Bunny ears.

We really enjoyed a visit from the Easter Bunny who gave us an easter egg.

Swan Plant Seeds

We planted swan plant seeds.  We are going to make sure they get enough water, sun and light to help them grow.
