Anzac Biscuits

We have been learning about Anzac Day.  We have been learning about what Anzac Day means, why and how we commemorate it and have been discussing what it would have been like to be a soldier.

We learned that Anzac Biscuits were made at home and posted to the soldiers overseas because they were made from ingredients that would last a long time.

Take a look at the photos of us making and eating our Anzac biscuits.

Butterfly Painting

Here are some photos of us painting our butterflies.

First we looked at a photo of a butterfly wing and drew exactly what we saw.  We then painted the white and orange parts and waited for these two colours to dry.  Finally it was time to paint the black part of the wing!

Now they are completed and are hanging up in Room 10.  We did a great job!
